The 2023 Ghana Tour with professor Charles Joyner’s group was the trip of a lifetime. Professor Joyner’s tour immerse us into the cultural arts of the Ghanaian people. The trip was well organized and ran smoothly. We traveled across the country. The overnight accommodations were “5 star”. Our group was large enough to travel in the comfort of an air-conditioned van. But it was small enough that we had time to experience Ghana history and the art world, at each event. My favorite experience was watching the men weave Kente cloth on their handmade looms. Second choice, when we were served authentic Ghanaian food on the beach. We had wonderful experiences dining with local cuisine daily. It will positively impact me for the rest of my life. I definitely plan to travel with Professor Joyner’s tour group again.
