Cancellation Penalties

Because of the unique offerings and special events in this tour, our Ghanaian partners impose rigid cancellation fees. I don’t have any control over the fees, and cannot make any exceptions to these charges. Therefore, all cancellations must be received in writing and will be effective when the written notice is received in my office. If a cancellation is received after I am in possession of the initial deposit and final payments, but more than 91 days prior to departure, the cancellation fee incurred will be 50% of the total amount paid. 90-76 days prior to departure, the cancellation charge is 75% of the total amount paid. 75-46 days prior to departure, the cancellation charge is 90% of total amount paid. 45 days or less before departure, no refund, the cancellation charge is 100% of the total amount paid.

Depending on the reason for cancellation, your travel insurance may cover your cancellation fees in whole or in part. I highly purchasing travel insurance as it protects you against cancellation penalties if the trip is cancelled for covered reasons prior to departure. Plus, it also covers trip interruption, luggage loss/delay, medical expenses for covered injury/illness, and other circumstances that may occur after departure.

If I cancel the tour before the advertised date or time due to uncontrollable circumstances or in the event of too few participants registering, you will receive a refund of the total amount you paid.
